Hi my son is 10 and is a big fan of yours. He watches all your videos and reads your books. He is a Mets fan and on Thursday will be going to the Mets v. Diamondbacks game - it will be his 7th game this year. If you happen to be going to that game I would love for my son to meet you and shake your hand. I am a single mom and he doesn't have many male role models and he is constantly talking about all the good things you do for charity. If you are going and have two free minutes let me know and we will find you.
Thanks.

Whats up Zack. My Name is Alex and i love the game of baseball just as much as you. Im only 17 so i havent seen as much of it as you but believe me i love the game so much. Ive played since i was 3 years old. Im a huge Mets fan and i go to games with my dad alot. Its something we always look forward too. I met you once at Yankee Stadium it was David Price's 1st Career start with the Tigers. You're a really cool guy. I remember you had somebody filming you because you were doing a documentary i can't remember for what though.
Anyways, I was at Citi Field tonight with my dad and my friend and we got their early to see BP of course. I always try to get a ball but im too shy to call players and i never really knew any way to get one. I watched you're YouTube videos and they gave me all the tips i needed. So today i went into Center Field because i saw Archie Bradley throwing ALOT of balls into the crowd. I waited for about 10 Minutes and nothing was happening for me. Then he threw one way up in the air and i had to make the grab over a few people. No kids were harmed during my catch so im not a terrible human being Lmao. Once i caught the ball i was so happy. You're videos are awesome and never stop what you're doing because most people would kill for you're lifestyle. Going around to all these stadiums getting tons of baseballs. For a true fan of the game it really doesnt get any better than that. Keep up the great work and dont listen to the negatives.
Best Regards,
Alex

Hello zack
I reached out to you couple weeks on twitter to say hello to my son ryan Who watches your videos on youtube. Thankyou for doing so
It made his day We told you we were heading to citi field and went to the matinee vs Rockies 2 thursdays ago or so.
He was really upset there was no bp considering its one of the major reasons i wanted to Take him since hes been on this kick ballhawking from your videos.
However he was able to manage a toss up once again by learning from your videos to get in space and stand out by hanging 15-18 rows back from the other fans.
It almost seems like the players get a kick of having to throw the ball some distance to a waiting fan.
At any rate it worked like a charm
And brightened his day
Thanks
Rick ryans dad

Zack,
Hey man, my name is Dan. I’ve commented on your blog for years and we've connected on Twitter a few times. We've actually met in person a couple of times at well, twice at Yankee Stadium (photo attached) and once down in Baltimore.
I know you get your fair share of "less than pleasant" emails/Tweets, and so hopefully this one can balance out at least a few of the negative ones.
I've gotten into ballhawking a little over the past five years thanks to your influence – nothing outrageous, but I've got a nice 12 game streak going and haven't been shut out since 2011 (granted I only get to 3-4 games a year, but still).
The catalyst for me to try ballhawking was your '32 ball' game from Kauffman in June of 2009 (which I just re-read and is still flat our hilarious. It holds up well haha). I remember thinking then, "Man, if he can get 32 AT ONE GAME, I have to be able to get one." And sure enough, showing up early, being prepared, doing some homework, all of it actually works.
I wanted to write and share about two of my sons, ages 10 and 8. This summer they've gotten old enough to want to try ballhawking themselves, and so a couple of weeks ago we ended up at Nationals Park. My younger son Ben was positioned right at the wall during the Nats portion of BP and while all the other kids are screaming, "Ball! Ball! Ball!" I specifically told him, "Ben, the next ball, make sure you ask for it and say 'please'." As the next ball came out to the warning track, Ben got hooked up as literally the only kid who was asking politely. It was a proud moment for me (all three of us ended up with a ball that day, photo attached), to see him put it together that being polite still actually means something. It was really cool to get to share this day with them and indirectly, I have you to thank for that.
Fast-forward two weeks later, my oldest son Noah and I ended up at Citi Field for the single-admission doubleheader between the Mets and the Cardinals. Long-story short, I ended up getting a Wilmer Flores foul ball toss up in the 3rd, and Noah got the 3rd out ball that ended the bottom of the 8th. Each getting a gamer (first gamers for either of us) in the same game was pretty awesome (especially on a day with no BP).
My whole reason for writing is to simply say thanks. I've always loved baseball. I grew up going to Yankee Stadium and Shea with my dad and brothers, and it's cool to be able to pass the love of the game on to my sons. The added element of ballhawking has made the experience that much more memorable, each time we go out knowing that we have a pretty good chance to go home with a story, a souvenir, and a piece of the game.
We were up at the Hall of Fame last month and while the artifacts are all amazing, from a young fans perspective, it's honestly not all that interesting (yet anyway haha). Ballhawking together as a family, as father and sons, has helped my boys to fall in love with the game that has meant so much to me and that I know has meant a lot you.
Thanks for your influence and for helping to show our family a different way to enjoy the experience of being at the ballpark. Hope to catch up with you again soon.
Dan

Hi, Zack -- Twitter follower and Royals fan here in KC. Was just wondering if you had any plans to come out for the Yanks-Royals series at the end of the month. I'm taking my 8-year-old son and a couple of his buds to the Wednesday night game and thought we might try to hit BP early. Game is a 7:15 start so the other parents might want kids home early! I enjoy watching watching what you do and your passion for the game! Keep it up! -- Clint

Hi Zack my name is Liam, I really enjoy watching your videos because you are so awesome. You make my whole family laugh. I do the same thing as you, I am a ballhawk. I have snagged about 200 balls. The players that I have gotten balls from from the top of my head are, Todd Helton , Jonny Cueto, Clayton Kershaw and much more. I hope that you get back to me because you are so awesome. Thanks, Liam

Zack,
You are seriously a great person. A couple years back I sent you your book and you signed and returned it. I sent you the Gary Cohen ticket. Haha. I'm glad I knew who you were before you got famous and I am happy to defend you whenever someone tries to spread some BS about you. Anyways, It took until this year for your love of ballhawking to finally spread to my little brother. We recently got awarded a Minor League Franchise 15 minutes from our house in Columbia, South Carolina and have been going to games at least twice a week. He is using your techniques like the glove trick to get balls off roofs of surrounding buildings. I actually tweeted a picture at you and you responded. Thank you for doing what you do, and being a huge part of my brother and I finally having a safe haven to hangout and enjoy our lives.
Keep doing what you do, there are more people behind you; the haters are just obnoxiously yelling louder.

Just wanted to say pleasure meeting you yesterday and thank you again for offering up that BP ball. Over 30+ years of attending games and never thought there to be a science behind grabbing these things. You totally didnt have to offer that up but again awesome of you to do so.
Much respect for you and your dedication. Very humbled and i applaud you for that.
Ill be at Yankee Stadium ion the 16th vs the Jays..ill look out for you again and watch and learn as im sure there will be plenty balls to be had.
Take care.

Hey Zack!
It's Cam! You are awesome with your ball catching skills. I bet it was cool to catch Trout's 1st HR. I showed my dad your videos and he loves how creative you were with the glove trick. Thanks so much! If you don't respond, I understand thousands of people watch you. You are AMAZING and I am your #1 fan so Go Zack!!

Hey Zack,
My name is Bryan and I am 15 years old from Vancouver, Canada. I am a diehard Blue Jays fan, but unfortunately, I can't go to many ball games. Your YouTube channel is probably one of my favourites to watch, and every time I get a notification from your channel, I get very excited. I also learned how to say "can I have a ball" in japanese from you, so if I go to a game, I can use that weapon. I also love reading your blogs.
I can't believe that you get a lot of hate and people misjudge you. Everyone thinks you knock people down for a ball, snatch a ball from a kid, or you're just heartless. But all of that is all false. You are very passionate and you have a big heart. I have to say, the marlins man is extremely annoying.
Keep up the good work mate. Your videos and blogs have great quality to it. Quality over quantity.

Hi Zack,
I just want to start this by saying I am a huge fan. I have been ill these past few days and I have literally just been watching your videos on youtube ballhawking at the different ball parks. I am from the UK and I have been to one game when I visited Canada in 2012 and that was a Blue Jays game. Since that day I have fallen in love with baseball. I have bought a lot of Blue Jays merchandise such as hats, shirts, jerseys and hoodies. However there is one thing I have never got and that is a match ball from Toronto. I’m wondering if you know any websites or places where I could get one that was at the Rogers Centre.
Thank you so much for your time and keep the videos going, they are genuine entertainment and I love watching them.
Rory

Thank you very much

Hey Zack
Thanks for the great advice you gave me earlier this year. I've gone to two Yankees games since and I got a total of 8 balls. I was just wondering. When you caught A-rod's 3000 hit. Was there any specific reason why you picked those exact seats. Thanks for the great advice.

Best wishes, Matthew
P.S I love what you do to the game of baseball and the community with Pitch In For Baseball. Ignore the people who know nothing about you that say lies . Stay positive and keep doing what you love. I can't wait to read The Baseball which I just ordered the other day.

Hey Zack! My name is DJ Pearson and I'm 13 years old. I live in Southern California and a huge Angels fan. I stay true to my team but I love MLB itself and love every team in it (besides the dodgers). I've always known about you, seeing you on ESPN and on the news (for Arods 3000th) but never really looked into you until recently. You fascinate me! I think it's so cool what you do and admire you. Me and my family are ballhawks just like you but not nearly as proactive and don't nearly have the amount of balls you do. I just wanted to know a few things. #1: HOW DO YOU DO IT! Man, it is just so crazy how many balls you have and I want you to do me a HUGE favor. You don't have to do what I'm about to ask you right away but please get back to me ASAP to tell me if you would be willing to do it or not. I want you to tell me tips and tricks on how to get balls and where are the main spots in every stadium to get balls in. If you are not willing to do this that is totally fine because I know you are very busy and don't have the time for it, but I would really appreciate it if you could. #2: I wanted to know the next time you are coming to southern California for any game so I could meet you and take a picture with you and for me and you to stick around together for the game and try to ballhawk. Thank you so much for your time and consideration. I wanted to show you me and my family's baseball collection. If you could get back to me I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
Sincerely,
DJ

Hey,
I just wanna say thank you, I'm located in a chicago suburb but I go to a ton of brewer games, I had went to one on 7/30/16 just last week I was at a sox game where I collected my first mlb ball, totally cool & very happy when I got it.. But I wouldn't have got it if it weren't for you! You're videos and blog is what inspired me to become a ball hawk and after today at miller park (July 30th 2016) I consider myself a ball hawk after collecting 3 balls .. (With this being only my second game "ball hawking".. All this excitement is because of you!! Thank you so much for teaching me a new love! Would love a reply back & hopefully a trip out to Milwaukee so we can compete for balls! Once again thank you
Michael

Dear Zack Hample,
I am writing this email to inform you that I was in your latest ballhalking YouTube video at Yankee Stadium. I was extremely excited to be in a video with a guy who has more than 8500 MLB baseballs. Now I know that you get about 100 emails per day but if you get this I was the southpaw in right field. I was that annoying kid every inning who asked for a ball from Carlos Beltran. I was with my Yankee hat and glasses. My younger brother who was next to me. I watched your videos a couple days before this but then when I saw you on this video I knew it was you. I also saw you get a ball from Beltran and gave it to a kid which was very nice of you. So thank you for finally making a video at Yankee stadium. Lol
(P.S. - I am also quite the ballhalker myself. I caught a ball from the Cubs in Bp two years ago at Yankee stadium as well)
Thank you again,
Ryan

Hey Zack,
I live about 45 minutes away from Citizens Bank park and have usually went to games just expecting a ball to land in my seat because my only interest was autographs. I am and have been a really shy person but once i got my first ball from a ball girl 4 years ago i have had a blast trying to get balls. Mainly thanks to your videos which allowed me to see the game before the game in batting practice. I only go to about 4 games a year but now I know to choose the games at the beginning of the series becaise those are the only ones that allow fans to watch bp at CBP. I enjoy your videos so much and you are the only YouTuber I consistently watch and enjoy. Next time you are headed to Philly, tell me and I would be happy to choose that game. I went to the game vs Toronto and got one commemorative ball from Joey bats, had a catch with Jesse Chavez and got Tommy Josephs autograph. The Miami game which i was looking forward to so much unfortunately had no batting practice due to weather. But i did manage to get a toss up from Jose Fernandez while he was in the pen. I feel so happy when trying to collect MLB balls and just enjoy the feeling. I have to thank you for opening up this activity that I would've never known about if it wasn't for you.
Sorry for the long message,
Joey

Dear Zack,
My name is Nolan and I'm from the Minneapolis area and love baseball. I just want to thank you for posting your YouTube videos and writing your blogs. I have just recently gotten into trying to catch baseballs at game and have been extremely inspired by you to get to games earlier and run from section to section trying to catch balls. I am planning a trip to Atlanta for the final season at turner field to see the Twins play and I am so excited to try and collect a commemorative ball. But the only way I knew about those is from your 2 Turner Field videos so thank you. I hope if u ever come back to target field someday we can meet up. Just let me know because I'm a season ticket holder and can maybe get you inside a half hour earlier. Thank you for Inspiring me.
Sincerely,
Nolan

Hi, I just wanted to say that your my idol and that I want to be just like you, also I love the Yankees, and I'm going to see them play for the second time on August 13 when the 1996 World Series team will be their. I jus want to say that the first time I went to a Yankees game was in June of last year, and I cought a game home run from Billy Hamilton. That's my first and only ball ever. So with that I just want to finish it off and say that your the reason I watch baseball.

Hey buddy
Tyler here,
Big fan of the videos. I have yet to pick up your book but iam definetly going to do that. I had a similar passion when I was young going to motorsporting events with my family I would see a car break and almost always would come back with either a belt or something that came off the car. I would love to know some details of watching a game with you. Iam a huge baseball fan and I think it would be a great experience to watch with you and hear some of your stories. Also all I want is one baseball :). If you could get back to me with details on how people get to a game with you that would be great !
Take Care,
Tyler

I was at a Double AA twins game the other day and I caught a ball in the bottom of the nionth innoing with two ouyt I was so HAPPy and I thought of you! Hey Zack, now I've tweeted at you a bunch of times, as well as made comments on your YouTube videos and yes the free lunch on me still stands for whenever you come to Toronto.
But the reason I'm sending you this email is to thank you for showing me ballhawking, I heard about you like most people (during the A-Rods 3000 hit ball debacle) and this season I started ballhawking at every game I go to. I'm 16 now so I'm hoping by the time I'm your age I'll have a big collection of mlb baseballs. I've gotten 11 in 6 games this year at Rogers Centre which I think is impressive due to the fact that the jays have one of the highest attendence in the league and gates only open 90 minutes before game time during weekdays, but thanks to your strategies ive done well so far with 10 more games to go!!
Next I just want to say that I have enjoyed going to jays games so much more with the challenge of getting baseballs. Also the fact that you give away so many of your baseballs to kids during the games you go to is very admirable as that really makes the kids day, keep up the amazing work and never let the haters deter you from what you do.
Lastly if you are in Toronto next time, if you havent had burrito boys you would be in for a treat, they are my favorite spot for burritos at a decent price, look them up on google I think you would be impressed.
Take care and thanks again for everything.
-Noah

Hello there! My name is Coleton R., and I'm 9 years old. I am a cubs fan, and my only major league game has been a cubs one. You have inspired me to play baseball and go to lots of local minor league games (Suns). My first few Suns games was when I was 4-5, so I never had any intention to snag a ball, but since finding out about ballhawking (thanks to you) I was ready. My fourth and fifth were double headers, and we were right by the plate, but we were not covered by the net. One foul ball landed a few steps ahead of me, but since people in my row were sitting, so it was hard to get to the stairway. By the time I got there, this old man was giving it to 12 year kid, he looked like. My sixth game was the one! In the 7th the Smokies were hitting fouls over by the 3rd base side, AT the same time me and my dad were getting food by 3rd base. One guy hit it right by there, I missed the catch, and a guy came to get. He could not find it,so he went back to his seat. I saw it sitting below a picnic table, so I grabbed it, and went back to my seat. I was so excited I couldn't speak, and then later I an autograph.
Thank You Zack, you have inspired me along with the rest of baseball!
July 17, 2016
Hi. I am going to citified on September 18th for my birthday. Can you be there and help me snag some balls. I love watching your YouTube videos. I always wanted to catch that many baseballs. Thankyou

Zack. That's my name too! Anyways it's fun watch your videos especially this 9,000th one! And your not a douche you care about others otherwise I wouldn't watch you. Your a great guy and your videos are helpful. Every time me and my bestfriend go to a stadium wether it's minor or major we are like " let's get a ball" and so we think how you would. We found a huge concourse all the way to the third base line and caught 11 baseballs today. Your ideas sparked mine and now I can enjoy baseball more than I ever have. Please right me back and I can get to see you soon. I'm going to the Marlins game against St. Louis. Not this week but next. Hope to see you there!
July 16, 2016
Hi Zack my name is Mason and I'm an 11th grader from Baltimore Md I'm the biggest orioles fan you will ever meet. I keep score of every game and wish I went to more but make it to about 20 a year. I just discovered your videos on YouTube and was hooked. I normally go early to try to get autographs but on Memorial Day ubaldo threw me a ball after warmups and I loved it. I'm about to go to my first game after watching your videos and I even created a glove device just like yours and practiced off a 30 foot deck at my house and it worked. I just wanted to thank you for being a inspiration and such a good person for baseball to have. I would love to meet you at a game hopefully we end up at the same one sometime
Best regards
Mason

Zack my name is Ryan. I am 15 years old and love your videos. I check everyday and see if you have a new video up on your YouTube for me to watch and learn from. I just bought your book and I loved it. I also loved your dispute with Marlins man, that was pretty amusing. Haha. I was just wondering when your next trip to progressive field in Cleveland may be so I can finally get to meet you and talk baseball with one of the most knowledgable people out there about the game. If you could let me know that would be awesome. Have a great day.
July 16, 2016
Hey Zack my name is Jaxson and I was at the Chase field game that you recently made a video about. I'm very sad that I didn't get to see you and was wondering if you'd be there Saturday or Sunday. Thanks I'm really bummed out about not seeing you and my family making me leave early. Thanks.

Dear Zack,
I am a huge fun. I think I might have watched all of the videos at least 5 times. I love listening to all your insight. I am a huge sports fan! I believe that you have made baseball more fun for me to enjoy when I go to games. I am going to the Angels vs. White Sox game on July 16th and I am going to be there right when the gates open, so I can feel and experience what you do. You are truly and inspiration. Everyone that is being negative towards you are losers, they are just critics. You didn't shove anyone and you also went to Fort Bragg with a fine reason. I just wanted to say that I am a huge fan and I am a huge Angels fan, so whenever you are in town hit me up and I would love to join you at a game. Keep it up, hope you catch as many as baseball are out there.
Sincerely,
Zack
P.S Love your name

Hello Zack , I am a huge fan . First off I would like to say a lot of people are saying a lot of negative things toward you lately , but I feel you have done nothing wrong . But otherwise I live in Houston Texas and I will have season tickets for the Houston Astros next year. I will be more than glad to give you a game ticket if you plan on coming next year so you can get in earlier then the average ticket. Just a kind gesture . Thanks Gabriel

Hi Zack! My name is Trenton and I am from Rogersville Tennessee. I want to be like you when I grow up but I don't know what career path to take to be able to go to games and go to work. I know you are an author but I was wondering if you know any job opportunities I can get and still go to games on a daily basis, I don't want to travel to stadiums, I want to live in Cincinnati and be a season ticket holder! I was wondering if you know any of your ballhawking friends jobs where I can start think about my future, I am 15 and really want to be like you! Please respond and thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this.

Dear Zack:
My name is Sunha and I am a new staff writer for [publication name redacted]. Recently, I have been watching your YouTube videos and I have been following your work since I got your first book in a book order from elementary school probably over 15 years ago. I am a big fan!
Just last week, I was inspired by your videos and used some of the strategies you have provided over the years to snag my first ball at Dodger Stadium. The look of excitement on my dad's face when Ryan Schimpf of the Padres tossed me a ball created one of those priceless memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
In any case, I would be truly honored to interview you for my first [publication name redacted] article to give fans a glimpse of your outstanding work. I'd be happy to arrange a call to discuss more or to do the interview.
Kindly,
Sunh

Hey Zack, I am a huge fan. Now that you have done every ball park are you going to go back to the ballparks and make videos again? Watching your videos are sometimes my favorite part of my day. Your videos are really funny too. My favorite one is the Safeco field when you get 20 balls and broke the record for most balls caught. I also really enjoy watching you give balls out to little kids and watch having there face light up:) I do not remember which one this one was but it was one with Mike Trout in it and you were getting a ton of balls and fans were getting annoyed and yelling like thats his 6th ball already I thought that was really funny. Last question for you have you ever caught a ball of Bryce Harper's? I was just curious because he is my favorite baseball player.
Thanks for your time.

Hi Zack
I just wanted to drop a note and say thanks for adding so much fun for me and my 8 yr old son at ball games. He found you on YouTube a couple months ago and ballhawking is his new favorite thing. He is a very shy boy and he never leaves my side but during batting practice he went chasing balls and exploring the bleachers (within eye sight ha ha) it was so fun to seem him so crazy to get a ball. He got one ball at each game so far! He is over the moon!
Thanks and best wishes
Nicholas

Hey Zack,
I have been a sports collector for my whole entire life and now that I watch you on YouTube I am doing what you do as well. You have inspired not only me but thousands.
I was wondering if you ever come down to Phoenix to Chase Field? Let me know if you do . I can hook you up with tickets .
Thank you,

Hey Zack,
I'm Brett, I'm 16, and I live in Iowa. As my email suggests, I'm a pretty big Royals fan. I've been going to Royals spring training for 5 years now, and my brother and I have gotten hundreds of baseballs over the years we have been to AZ. I could only imagine what somebody who does what you do could haul in compared to what I can do! I was at the Royals game today, and I will say I studied your video from The K, along with your blogs from the ballpark (The 32 ball performance was incredible! If only I was a little bit older when they were awful like that. Oh well, from the looks of things they could be like that again in the near future), as well as ESPN Home Run Tracker, and I was pretty optimistic about getting a few balls. As I neared the park I realized that since it was an afternoon game, the Royals probably weren't taking BP, and as I entered the stadium my worst fears were confirmed. I do have one question, how do you get toss ups from coaches? Since I was older than the majority of the younger people in my area the kids in the section over from me got like 5 a piece from players, coaches, and the umpires. Meanwhile I got none (the struggle was real haha) Just a case of bad luck or can I do something to get a ball?
But enough of that, I'm sending this email to let you know that you really don't deserve all the crap you have been getting recently. It's sad that people can't realize that you simply like to enjoy yourself, as I do during the week I spend at spring training along with the games I go to each year. As a longtime subscriber to your YouTube channel I will continue to watch your videos and support what you do. On another note, I am excited to pick up your book(s) in the near future.

Hey Zack,
I wanted to message you on twitter for this, but for some reason, it wouldn't let me direct message you, so, I'll send an email. Anyways, as you should see in the photo, I snagged my FIRST EVER ball today. It was a Miguel Cabrera homerin during batting practice. The reason I'm telling you all this is because i wanted to thank you. Your blog on the rogers center, and all your youtube videos helped me get this ball today. Anyways keep posting on youtube and your blog and again if you're ever in Toronto I'd really like to meet you! (BTW I support you in the whole Fort Bragg, Marlins Man thing going on)
Thanks,
Ethan

Dear Zack,
My name is Shawn and I'm 20 years old and I'm from Magnolia, New Jersey. Baseball has been a major part of my life ever since I was 4 years old. I played for 8 years and I've coached for the last 7. I'm also huge fan and collector. I've collected cards for the past 7 years and I just got into Bobbleheads and figures last year. I have roughly 15,000 cards and 50 bobbleheads and figures. I started going to games in 2003 and I've been to over 100 games since. I didn't start going to batting practice until I came across you on YouTube 3 years ago. I've watched every video over the last 3 years and I've become a huge fan of yours. I even met you at a phillies game last year and I tweet you very often. I love everything you do for charity and never want you to stop. After seeing what Chris Russo and other people have said about, it makes me sick that people want to judge when they don't even know you. You've donated 150,000 dollars from the yankees for the Rodriguez ball and an additional 1100 from the Fort Bragg game.
They need to learn and think before they judge somebody they don't know. All of the games I've been to have been phillies games and I really want to start going to other stadiums. I go on vacation from July 31st to August 6th and would love to go to different stadiums with the best ball hawk of all time. Do you still take people to games? I would love to go to different stadiums with you. My family doesn't have anything planned for vacation yet and I've been wanting to go to different stadiums all year. Please read this.
Your biggest fan Shawn

Hey Zack,
My name is Aidan and I love your videos and techniques. I don't think that you're a bad guy- actually the opposite. Some people think that you're such a bad guy-reaching in front of kids to get balls. I've seen most of your videos and I've never seen you do that. What I have seen you do is give most of your baseballs that you get over the course of the day away to kids. It's nice to see that from someone who could have over 8500 in his personal collection but since you have given so many away I'm sure you have way less than that.
It's honestly so frustrating that people are giving you threats and sending you emails that are from people who are mad that you were at the game. I think you 100% deserved to be there. I guarantee you weren't the only civilian at the game. You simply wanted to be there, asked very respectfully and kindly and received a ticket. If I had the chance to hang out with you for the day and enjoy a great game- I would without a doubt.
I live in Canada and go to Blue Jays games all the time. If you are ever planning to come back here, please tell me because I would love to meet you. On June 10 of this year I went to a game- Jays vs Orioles. I was standing in the front row of the 100 level outfield (In left field), dying for a ball. I almost lost my voice because of how often I was screaming for toss ups. Finally, a few groups before the end of BP, a ball was hit towards Left Field, where Mike Wright was standing. As soon as it was hit, I thought: that's the one that I'm getting. I screamed and screamed and after Mike scanned the whole front row, he saw me and tossed it it up. Best game of my life. So thanks for the tips because I don't think I would've got the ball without watching your videos. The game went to the 10th inning when Edwin Encarnacion hits a bomb to walk it off. 2nd walkoff I've seen over the past 2 seasons. Really wrapped up a great day.
Anyways, this email is turning into an essay so I'll wrap it up. I love your content and I will most likely be trying the glove trick soon. Again, if you ever come back to Toronto please, please tell me. It would be great hanging out with you at a game.
If you end up reading this, thank you. I am a HUGE fan of baseball as well and don't agree with anything people said in those hateful emails.
-Aidan

Dear Zack,
I am 12 years old and a baseball fanatic. I live right outside of Washington, D.C. and am a diehard Nationals fan with season tickets. I will be up in New York next week to see the Yankees and Red Sox on Friday the 15th. I was wondering if you would be at the game. If so, it would be a honor to meet you during batting practice.
I admire you as ballhawk by watching your YouTube channel and reading your blogs. I also used my glove to do the glove trick early this week. I did’t get the chance to use it though because of traffic. You are very interesting to me.
I think it is completely wrong what people say about you. People are just jealous of your baseball experiences. You haven’t done anything wrong. Just ignore the haters and you will be fine.
Sincerely,
Will

Dear Mr. Hample
My name is Niko and I am 12 years old. I live in Baltimore and have partial season tickets to the Orioles games. This season I have been walking over to the stadium early just to get batting practice. So far I have gotten 7 balls in 4 games. When ever your in Baltimore again just email me and I can get you some hook ups. I watch your YouTube videos and learn so much off them. I HATE THE PEOPLE WHO R HATING YOU. You r doing nothing wrong. Please don't stop doing what your doing.
-Niko

Hey zack,
I'm 13 years old and I first saw a video of you when you caught A-rod's 3000th hit. I recently heard about all the hate you have been getting about the fort Bragg game. I think it's cool that you get tons of baseballs unlike me yet to get one your also the one that mostly got me in to baseball. So don't let the haters get to you still go to baseball games and don't listen to the people saying bad stuff about you have fun and get baseballs. I know this isn't that long but thanks thanks for doing what you do and having fun
Thank you,
Paul
July 8, 2016
Hey zack,
Would just like to say that I support what you do and I'm on your side in regards to going to the game. In this world it's hard to find something you truly love, and when you do you cant let it go. I think it's great what you do with giving balls to kids, donating lots to charities etc. I know you get some hate, but on Twitter that's the norm for a person with a following. The silent majority is on your side and is enjoying watching your journey. It's inspiring to see a guy turn something he loves into a career and is something that I'll keep in mind as I move on with my life. Keep doing great things and don’t let the "haters" stop you or change your outlook on what you love.
-Adam

Hello Zack,
I saw that one of your jobs is to take people to MLB games to teach them to ball hawk. I live in Kansas City and want to pay you your fee of $500 to teach me how to ball hawk. I will buy the tickets (let me know which seats to buy). I usually sit behind home plate so if you want to sit there that is fine with me (George Brett always hangs out at the Crowns Bat Club), but it looks like you like to run around the outfield so that is cool also. We can eat at the buffet and talk to the visitor team at the dugout. And then run around the outfield during he game.I can pick you up at the airport and let you crash on my couch and then take you back to the airport.
Please let me know if you are interested and give me the details and the price. I am free for the whole month of September and October. So I would like to ball hawk with you in September or October. The Royals play the Indians on Oct 1st so that would be awesome.
I bought all of your books so maybe you could sign them also.

Hi Zack,
My name is Sean and I live in Ireland. I have been aware of you since last September when I seen the video vice sports did about you and ARods 3000th hit, and as someone who has never caught a ball at a major league baseball game (in only 3 attempts), needless to say I was very impressed and have enjoyed reading your blogs and watching your videos (please make a Citi field video - im a huge Mets fan (im writing this letter as I watch the Nationals @ the Mets at midnight local time!) ever since. I was actually over on vacation in the United States when the Fort Bragg was being played and watched it in my hotel room. When I seen on twitter you had made it in to the game I was happy for you, because I know how much you love the game and attending these once in a lifetime opportunities. I just wanted to email you and say ignore all the hate. I dont think you have to defend yourself and you've done nothing wrong, and I think you have been very respectful during the entire process, and you came across very well and well spoken on the Pardon My Take podcast. Anyways, my point is, keep doing what your doing, keep making your videos and writing your blogs. I guarantee half the people that were giving you hate will still watch your videos anyway, and I think they are just jealous that you get to do what you love and get notoriety for it. Keep making your videos, and maybe eventually il get a ball at a major league game!
Regards,
Sean

Hey Zack just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am a huge fan of you and the game. I understand and have read up on people's criticism of you such as "running over kids" and "scamming your way" into the Ft. Bragg game.. (Awesome blog about that btw). I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I think you are doing a great thing not just for baseball but for America. FYI I'm 17 and am a guy who loves to play baseball and to watch baseball. I love that you go to games with the same passion of the game in which I do. Also, I recently met my role model since I was 10, Bryce Harper. It all worked out because the night before the game. I watched your video where you are at Wrigley explaining the importance of gates opening, and that is when a light bulb turned on for me. Go early when he's taking bp and the better chance I have. Thankfully it worked. Finally I wanted to thank you for making baseball fun. Not many people can have the passion for the game that you have and I think that those haters are jealous that they can not feel the way you do about the game.. Haters gonna hate.. This went a little longer then planned but I hope you get to read this and respond!!! Btw if you are in St. Louis at all this summer I would love to catch a game with you here in baseball heaven
July 7, 2016
Zack, First of all I would like to say thank you. You inspired me to want to do one thing, catch baseballs. My dad is in the Army and we now live in Georgia, about 3 hours away from Atlanta. I am 15 years old and my parents can't take me to a Braves game, but I finally convinced them to take me to a Green Jackets game, which is the triple A team about 20 minutes away. I am going to use all my strategies I learned from your videos. Thank you so much!!!
-Josh

Hi Zack,
You have got me back into Ballhawking over the past three years. I am a big fan and was wondering if you are coming to Target Field this summer? It would mean a lot if you could respond.
Thanks,
Nick

Dear Mr. Hample,
I dissed you for not giving back ARODs 3K hit ball last year, but now as I look at it, I was a dumbass. Ill be the first to admit it. What you did with the Ft. Bragg game was amazing. The donation you made was unreal. I am very happy to have someone in the ballhawk community doing good deeds like this. Dont listen to these idiots who call you a fool. You did nothing wrong. People like you and I go to games for our dweeby little hobby of catching baseballs. Its fun. It keeps us off drugs and all that other bs. Keep doing your hobby and once its not fun for you anymore and if you decide to retire, I wish we establish the Ballhawk Hall of Fame. You would be first ballot.
Sincerely,
Chris
July 6, 2016
Zack, I usually watch baseball on TV because going to games is really expensive. I watch your videos and it feels like I'm at the game with you. I recently got a ticket from a family member as a birthday gift. I went to Camden Yards in Baltimore and caught 3 baseballs. Keep making amazing videos!
July 6, 2016
Hey Zack,
I was searching for your new blog entries after catching up with you the other day at Yankee Stadiums when I stumbled upon many news articles involving "the man who steals balls from kids that attended the Fort Bragg game". After reading your blog entry and Twitter exchange with Marlins Man, I completely support you and your explanation for attending the game at Fort Bragg. I have no words for the people and their ridiculous, unnecessary hate for you. Keep doing what you are doing because kids like me and people all over the world love what you do. Btw, Marlins Man is probably that guy that got bullied in high school.
From,
your friend Nick

Hi Zack,
My name is Matt I comment on you're blogs a lot. I just read you're blog about u going to the military game and I just want to say you did nothing wrong. I have an offer for u me and my dad have a membership called Red Sox nation where you going in and extra 50 minutes early for batting practice and I am going in the 30th of August and was wondering if you wanted to come. We are sitting in the bleachers for the game. I just wanted to send some nice mail because I know you have been getting hate mail. You have inspired me to be a BallHawk. Keep uploading on YouTube they make my day when you do.
Keep doing what you are doing,
Matt

Hello Zack, Thanks for sharing your pics of the game. I truly enjoyed them all. My son is a solider at Fort Bragg and I have been on base twice. He was going to go but we had a baby shower back home (Detroit, MI) for him and his wife on this day. I hate he missed it and I will be sharing these pics with him. When he told me of your story I had to read it for myself. I am so glad you got to attend this game and hate you are catching so much BS from it.. but move forward with your head high. Thank you for your donation, very generous of you.

Hey man,
I just wanted to say I've learned about you recently and I think it's really cool what you do.I think because not many people do it that it's considered "weird" but I think it's a pretty cool and harmless hobby. Also I think they may be a little jealous lol.I just wanted to say about the whole Fort Bragg thing that while I think it wasn't best to go to the game that the way you handled it was excellent.Unfortunately no matter what you do people are going to criticize you and make fun of you and say really harsh nasty things.Honestly I've found that it's best to stay off of Twitter for the most part.I just find it as a negative experience often times. So I would suggest maybe not utilizing it as much and focusing on your work and videos and your purpose instead of reading and replying to hateful tweets.Just a thought.Just wanted you to know that I support you and always enjoy when new videos come out. You're such a role model to a bunch of people man don't forget that.I don't know what your religious beliefs are but I just wanted you to know that I'm praying for you and hope that God will use you to be the best guy you can be.Best wishes man.I look forward to seeing and hearing more of your work.

Hi Zack - I knew who you were before this happened. Was pretty indifferent. I go to a lot of Brewers games & getting baseballs is not my thing at all, BUT, to each his/her own! Live and let live. I support you in this whole Fort Bragg thing. I believe you, and I think other people - Marlins Man in particular - are creating this huge drama for reasons only known to them. You can't do better if you don't know better, and it's very obvious you had no idea that going this game would cause such an uproar. You made a mistake and you apologized for it. End of story. People are being very judgmental and self-righteous. It's not right, but it's unfortunately an every day occurrence on social media. I've experienced more than my fair share of hate as well - I empathize with you. Sorry you've had to go through this! Keep on keepin' on :) And if you're ever at Miller Park, feel free to come say hi! Though you won't catch any balls where I am :) Best wishes to you! Persevere.
-Amy
July 6, 2016
I've been following your journey through social media for somewhere around a year now. From everything I've seen, anyone throwing shade at you has been people who appear to be incredibly jealous of what you experience and wishing their own life wasn't so meaningless. I've read a lot (regrettably) from Marlins Man's perspective on this, and i'm 100% convinced that he was only upset that he wasn't there directly behind home plate to get everyone's attention as always.
If I were you, I wouldn't regret going to the game. You were someone's guest, as were probably thousands of others. I hope you kept the one commemorative ball from the game, even though you said you were giving them all away.
I get that some people were livid that you were ballhawking, but I personally am not outgoing. It's something I've struggled with my whole life, so I go to a game hoping to get a ball, but am not comfortable yelling for one or doing the dirty work that is required. I imagine there were plenty of people like that there, so you doing that dirty work and then hooking them up was probably their only shot. Anyway, just a few thoughts from someone who see's little reason for anyone to be so harsh towards you.
-Kevin

Hello Zack,
My name is Tim and I'm 17 years old and live in the greater Boston area. I discovered you through Barstool Sports' coverage of you an instantly became a fan. I find it absolutely amazing that you have the drive to follow your lifelong dream of catching baseballs, as well as your consistent attempts to be generous and give baseballs to the younger fans. I have been intending on writing you for a while but I figured now is as good a time as any. At the Fort Bragg game, I completely believe you that you were not aware of any wrongdoing or anything of the sorts. Watching people portray you as a villain has left me upset because I know you're a great guy who is just trying to enjoy yourself. Don't let the haters get to you. You'll always have a fan in me.
P.S. After watching most of your videos, I've been inspired to try a couple of your tactics at the Red Sox vs. Giants games on July 19 and 20. I'll send you an update afterwards.
Keep doing what you do,
Tim
July 6, 2016
Good afternoon Zack,
I just finished reading your blog entry on the Ft Bragg game, and I must say, thank you. You have given me insight on the events, and ball game at the base.
In regards to you attending the game, I see absolutely nothing wrong with it. As an honorary guest of a soldier, you had the same right to attend as say, that soldiers girlfriend. Under no circumstances, did you steal a ticket from a soldier, that man chose YOU to be his guest, because he wanted to give you that once in a lifetime experience.
I have been reading your blog entries for 4 years now, and have been a thorough supporter ever since my first read. There is no one out there as courteous towards nearby children and fans as you. You are always aware of your surroundings, and do everything in your power to not take a ball from a deserving child. Along with that, you give away a large amount of baseballs per game as well. I respect that greatly.
In closing, I feel as though you were never in the wrong for attending the baseball game at Ft Bragg, however there will always be backlash for a questionable decision like yours.
I will continue to support you, and your blog, and I certainly hope to cross paths with you if you pay a visit to Toronto, and the Skydome!
Best regards from Canada,
Damon

Just read your MLB blog about your Ft. Bragg experience. Seems a lot of people have it out for you—wasn’t it just a couple of weeks ago Deadspin was dogging you? You seem very dedicated, and make the baseball experience work for you. And as a guy who never got a baseball at 100+ games before actually working a job COVERING baseball, I’m jealous of your ingenuity and dedication.
Anyway, it is refreshing to encounter someone with the passion for the game you have. You seem kind and generous, and I hope the criticisms you’re fielding do nothing to dim that passion.

Zack,
Really cool to hear about your experience man... I can't imagine what it felt like for you having this incredible experience, that I can tell meant the world to you , being torn down by the media and the misinformed.. Honestly, seeing both sides of this story( this blog post and what you've said on Twitter, versus certain media and to specifically name someone against you, Marlins man.) it is very frustrating to see people .. And mass amounts of people tear you down and say the horrible things that have been said. A lot of these people (on Twitter and such) claim to be US servicemen, and as a US citizen among these people, it hurts to think that men and women fighting wars for us, can be so quick to tear another one of us down in the way that has occurred... It's truly despicable, have a little respect right?... I don't know, I guess it's just hard for some people to completely inform themselves about a situation before understanding it.. Also, I would say that I'm not exactly surprised about the media (news outlets and reports..etc.), to them, it's all about having a story that can, in the end, make money for their groups........ and what makes money these days?... Drama!!! Finally I commend you, because you don't seem to be backing down as one does when receiving hate like this, I hope you keep on keeping on with YouTube and your baseball passion! You have a good thing going, don't let this keep you from doing what you love and continue to bring us along the way!
.... Wow this was long, hope you see it,
Good luck Zack!
-Grant

Thank you for getting me into baseball. your videos on You tube are a big part of the reason that I play baseball. yesterday on July 5th I went to the Toronto blue jays vs The Kansas city royals game. I caught a Alex Gordon home run in batting practice but that wasn't my highlight. I caught a Cheslor Cuthburt home run on the fly. Even though it wasn't the blue jays who hit the home run i was still celebrating.since i live in Canada i am a big Blue Jays fan and it is very hard to get balls there since a lot of home runs go into the bull pens and there are many people who are there for all of bp. I was wondering if you ever plan on going to Rogers centre again because they have 40th season commerative baseballs.
thank you,
from Owen

Zack,
I just wanted to take the time to tell you that I see that you did nothing wrong in going to the game.. My opinion is that people are overreacting in a major way. You are getting a bunch of criticism and hatred for something that you don't deserve. I also wanted to take the time to Thank You for donating to AMVets. That is such an awesome thing to do. I hope things will clear up and your life will go back to normal. Best of wishes.

I just read your letter on Twitter and wanted to share my thoughts. Coming from a military family (my husband served 30 years in the army), I saw nothing wrong with you did. You were someone’s guest. The girlfriend of the soldier would have been a guest. Geez, talk about making a mountain out of a molehill…
-Linda
July 5, 2016
Zack,
I have watched many of your you tube videos and am a baseball enthusiast myself! I am currently an Active Duty service member and used to be stationed at Ft Bragg. It is my understanding that the Soldiers were issued tickets and were eligible to bring a guest. I see nothing wrong with you attending the game since you went as a guest. How would this be any different than someone bringing their girlfriend or any other guest for that matter. I have attended events at Ft Bragg in the past and I'm 100% certain that there were other civilians in attendance. Many of the complaints that I have seen online do not appear to be from the service members themselves.
It seems that the general public has the biggest complaint, and has the derogatory things to say. I have to call BS when people are saying you pushed kids out of the way or whatever and got balls that other people could have gotten. Let' be serious, Ft Bragg is full of professional tuff guys and if you had done anything inappropriate especially to a kid, you would have probably had a really bad day! AIRBORNE! Good job on making the day of 10 kids day brighter by giving them balls. You are definitely a professional when it comes to getting balls at a ballpark and your techniques probably resulted in more balls being received to the crowd than if you were not there. A factor that many are probably not considering. Additionally the fact you wrote a personal check for $1100 to be donated to a military charity was outstanding. I saw your original post to you tube asking for a ticket. I didn't see anything wrong with that either, you were genuine and considerate and respectful of the military. Nevertheless, just wanted to send you shout and let you know that everyone in the military is not upset with you and this will pass. I am frequently at Philly and Baltimore games maybe we will run into each other one day.
Very Respectfully,
SFC [name redacted]

Hi Mr. Hample,
My name is SGT [name redacted], the senior [redacted] for [redacted] Mountain Division. I'm currently deployed in Afghanistan and have been reading about the situation you find yourself in. First and foremost, I am a huge baseball fan as well, not so much just baseball like you but really the Mets. The reason I'm emailing you is because I don't understand why people are mad. You're a fan of the game and you did what you could to enjoy it. I know you are receiving backlash and threats but I want you to know that if I was there at Bragg for the game and had an extra ticket then I would have invited you just as the one Soldier did. I hope that you can overcome the backlash and continue to do what you love to do and are quick frankly good at. If there's ever a game on Fort Drum and I can get an extra ticket then I will be contacting you to invite you. I feel as though you deserve to enjoy a game at such an unique venue. I doubt a game at Drum will happen, but I one can hope. And if it happens then you are more than welcome to come and drink beers and enjoy America's favorite pastime. Take care, be safe, continue to love the game and Happy 4th of July!!!
July 5, 2016
How are you doing, Zack? I have always had the utmost respect for you and the things you have done. Given all of this social media backlash about you attending the game in Ft. Bragg, I am someone who believes that this has all been blown well out of proportion. After reading your apology, I continue to believe that you did absolutely nothing wrong. So what if you offered to pay someone $1,000 for the ticket? There are always plenty of people who get tickets to functions like that, then they go unused. I would want one or more of the unused tickets to go to someone who truly appreciates the game. I'm sure you probably saw plenty of people sitting in the stands reading books or on electronic devices who couldn't care less about being there. I personally feel that we live in a time where anyone with an internet connection believes their opinion matters more than anyone else's. This public shaming on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc, is beyond ridiculous. So, on behalf of everyone in the world, because I have an internet connection and my opinion is more valuable than anyone else's, you are forgiven.
Seriously, though, this whole thing is a huge non-issue. Don't let it stop you from being who you are. I'll be at Camden Yards July 8-11. If you are at the game for whatever reason, I would love to buy you a beer.
Sincerely,
William - still a fan.

Hey Zack,
My name is Alex and I have been reading your blog and keeping up with you on social media for well over 3 years. Your blog entries and your books have helped me start ball hawking and acquire my very first baseballs. I love reading your blog entries and learning and reading about.the places you travel especially when I have been there.
Now to a topic which I know you don't like talking about, Fort Bragg. I don't think that you going to the game was entirely wrong. Your father had served in the navy so therefore you had some right to be there. I thank you father for his service. Also you donated money and baseballs to active military members and veterans. I think that was good of you to do. And finally you treated everyone at the game with respect and you did not rob anyone. I also hope one day to become a member in the military as well.
And for the final paragraph I would like to acknowledge your behavior in baseball parks and fields. I've read your blog entries and seen all of the videos that you appear in. You do not bump into anyone or rob anyone contradicting what most people claim you do. They are just false claims and there just jealous or have nothing else to do. They do it to celebrities too which I guess makes you one too huh. You also give baseballs away to kids and you donate to charity. For these resns listed above I would like you to continue doimg what your doing and don't change a single thing. I also want you to continue because you inspire me and you help me snag baseballs and it helps me think of a future I would like to pursue. Yes you may have bumps along the road but we are humans and we make foolish mistakes. Anyways that is all I wanted to write to you about. Thank you for giving up some time to read this message.
With regards,
Alex
P.S. it would mean a lot to me if you responded. Keep doing what you do

Congratulations for what you've done, Zack. Yes, this country has no shortage of smalldicks who will find a way to be offended by even the smallest things, but you're out there having fun and doing what you love, AND you even manage to help folks along the way. Critics count for ZERO, keep it up!

Just ignore all the pointless, ridiculous hate you are receiving. People are a bunch of oblivious idiots who have no clue who the hell you are. A soldier offered a ticket to GF who did not want to go. It is one seat. People are making this stupid deal out of nothing. In the end it is a baseball game. Why can't people respect that you love baseball beyond snagging baseballs. Why can't people respect that you have a hobby that is really fun. Maybe they should try it. Nobody knows you don't knock kids over which pisses me off. Keep doing you and have fun man. People don't let anything fun happen.

Zack, I am 87. I completed my tour to every Major League ballpark in 2005. Bud Selig sent me a letter of congrats.
Along the way I tossed in several minor league parks (St Paul had a great stadium)
My friends asked me for input - I said
Most knowledgeable fans - SL Cardinals
Prettiest small park - Pittsburgh
Most obscene fans - Bosox (my original home town)
Most revered park - Fenway
Best hot dogs - Great American Ballpark
Best layout - Camden Yard
It was great fun!!
Congrats to you for pursuing your dream

Hey Zack,
Hope you're doing okay my man. I know everyone's got their own opinion on what happened with you but I know about all the charity stuff you do and I will always remember how you took time to talk to a nerdy 13 year old over email a while back and made him happy as hell. So when those people take a step back and realize that you're a damn good person, they will relax. Hope you're doing okay. Write back when you have time.

Hey Zack,
This is Zach from a game at Camden Yards from a few years ago, it slipped my mind exactly how long ago. I just want to say that I see nothing wrong with what you did with the Fort Bragg game. I just think of you as a guy who pursues his hobby and I think that is absolutely respectable. I've seen your work on ballhawking and read your books and know that the people say you push little kids for balls is bogus. What they don't know is that you give most of your balls away to little kids after you get a picture of them anyway. They are just jealous that they don't have the talent that you have. Just a little positive in all the negative coming your way right now. Keep up the great work and I look forward to running into you once more.

Zack,
Not really sure how to start this message, I just felt compelled to send you a note to say that not everyone thinks you were wrong for going to the Fort Bragg game. I’m in the Army and I’m a little ashamed of how some folks in the military community are treating you for doing something that you love. It’s garbage that you are taking so much shit for getting into the game. I’d bet my paycheck that you weren’t the only non-DoD/family member at that game but WERE probably one of the only people in the entire stadium that donated to any sort of charity that night. I’d also be willing to bet that by you going to that game, you increased the odds of getting a ball for those people near you by a lot! I think what you do is awesome; from giving kids some of the balls you get, to teaching other people how to maximize their odds of getting fouls and homers, to the best part- the amount of money you raise to allow kids the opportunity to learn and play the sport. I’m looking forward to a time when my son is old enough to appreciate baseball to take him to a game and use some of your tips to help him make some great memories. Anyways, I just wanted to send an encouraging note while I’m seeing all the shit pile up. I can assure you that none of those comments have come from anyone that is or was one of my Soldiers.

Dear Mr Hample!
Hello! My name is Nicolas, I am 14 years old! I went to your website to find your email because I really wanted to get in contact with you! I watch all of your ball hawking videos on youtube an I really enjoy them! I have no clue how you catch so many balls each game! I am a tigers fan myself but I haven't been to a game yet. My family is always so busy with work and sports. You are truly an inspiration to a lot of fans like me! I always love to see you give away baseballs that you catch to young fans! They will never forget that. People were saying you were selfish for not giving Alex Rodriguez his 3000th hit baseball! I think you are the most generous man in the world! You could've had a lot of money or merchandise from the Yankees but you decided to get money for your favorite charity! I cant believe you did that! This is why I am a big fan of you, you are a great role model to me! You do so many great deeds in your videos that really inspire me. I love your glove trick! I am planning on using that when I go to my first MLB game. I hope I can make it to one this year! It has always been my dream to actually go to a game with you! I realize it may take several days or weeks for you to respond to me, your family and friends are by far more of a priority than me. If you have the time please give me a shout! I read your website and I noticed you do not like to give advice to fans which is totally fine. I checked out your advice section and couldn't find what I was looking for. If you do not mind I would really love it if you could give me a few tips of advice on ball hawking! If not this is totally fine but you are truly an inspiration. I was wondering what Tigers players are nice guys and would give me toss ups? I was also wondering about each player and where to stand? Like Miguel Cabrera is my favorite player and I would love to catch his ball! If you have a sheet of where each player hits his balls I would love to see a picture of it! I totally understand you do not have a lot of time on your hands due to the mass amount of emails you receive each day! But I really would love to hear from you! I want to go to a baseball game at Comerica Park before August 2nd because I have to have surgery on the 2nd. I have a large mass in my ear called a cholesteatoma. This mass eats away at my hearing bones and destroys my hearing. I have lost about 50 percent hearing. I have already had 2 surgeries that have taken 5 hours each. These were to remove this mass. The third surgery is to put prosthetic hearing bones in place! My only wish is to go to a game before my surgery in August. I hope I can do it. I am sorry for making this letter so long I realize you probably are pretty busy! If you could give me a couple tips About Comerica and its players I would die for that! It would truly make my day! There is one more thing that I really wish for if you have the time! I was wondering if you could send me an autograph of yourself and maybe an item you have received at a baseball game? Like a ball or something! I totally understand if you can not do this for me, just let me know! I would love to help with postage or envelopes! Anything to get something from you! You are my idol though! I love to watch your daily videos! You just seem like you have so much fun with what you do! Whenever you have time let me know what you can do! You are my idol and I wish you luck with ball hawking! Thank you so much! Hope to run into you at a game sometime!
Your Biggest Fan,
-Nicolas

Hey Zack,
Have you gotten any tickets in Baltimore in the near future? I would love to meet you. Time in advance would be great I'm 14 and have to get an adult to go with me. If you could let me know that would be great!
Also do you have any fan things such as Skype, P.O. Box or anything like that?
Thanks so much,
TJ

Dear,Zack
I'm a HUGE fan when I first saw the videos I got very inspired to catch balls at games.
So far I have 10 balls.
I have all three books.
I live in Texas and go to Globe Life Park,it is easy to snag balls there.
It would mean a lot to me if you replied.
Thank you for what you do.
I also have used my own money and donated to pitch in for baseball my friends have to
Sincerely,
Jonah

Hey zack, I just wanted to let you know I supported you as much as I possibly could on twitter. The guy I was talking to was extremely ignorant, and unfortunately in this world there are a lot of ignorant people. You are such a great person zack, and keep being that way. I still can't see how people are arguing about you being "a little baby" when you were in position minding your own buisness about to catch a walk off when you get plowed. It's absolutely ridiculous and it touched me and I'm not the person to argue with other people but I just had to because this really hit a nerve. The way how you ask the kids have you got one yet and you give it to them is amazing and surely not many people would give away a great catch during the game. I really hope none of this absolute non sense gets to you because I know there are more people out there like me who love your videos and love what you enjoy and how you enjoy it. Baseball is a beautiful game, but you can never get to the fact there are nasty people who will get on you because of the smallest things. Like I said keep being great zack, because you are and I know it and I know other people do too. Keep being great my friend.
From,
Alex

Hi Zack,
We went to college together (I was a fellow English major one year behind you). I saw the recent stories in Deadspin and just wanted to voice my support. They're some snarky motherfuckers. Good job standing up to them!
Take care,

I truly admire your commitment to the sport of baseball, to your hobby/obsession and especially to the betterment of others.
I stumbled across one of your YouTube videos the other day and just got sucked in. I gotta tell you man, at first I thought it was gimmicky, goofy even, but the more I watched and read I have to hand it to you, you have done an amazing thing with your life and in all honesty, I am jealous! Anyway I don’t mean to come off as a creeper blowing smoke at you, I just wanted to let you know, as I am sure you do already, that there are other fans of baseball out there that dig what you do.
I appreciate your time Zack, keep up the good work.
Sincerely,
Joe

Hey Zack,
My name is Caige and I am a HUGE FAN! I always get so jealous because you have a huge collection of baseballs that only continues to grow and grow. And not only that you get baseballs but you get to go to some many baseball games around the world! Well, I’ll get to my question, do you know where to buy commemorative baseballs ?( Like the Arizona spring training ball, Tampa Spring training ball, Turner Fields final season and ETC.) Also is it possible to buy your book The Baseball signed by you? I hope I’m not irrupting or irritating you by sending this email. BTW I give you the best of luck of going to the game at Fort Bragg!
Sincerely,
Caige

Dear Zack,
here's a fan from Italy.
I'm asking you to help me since I'm planning to have a trip to the US this summer. I'll be in Boston and New York City like 10 days between August and September.
Can you tell me what's the best stadium between Fenway Park, Yankee Stadium and Citi Field for ballhawking activity?
Thanks a lot man, really like your blog and videos, keep going!
Best Regards,
Filippo

Hi, Zack! My name is Adi. I'm come from Indonesia. I like your vidoes, even all of your videos on Youtube. I wanna be like yours. You're making the record, man. Love it. I wish I were in New York so that you can take to the baseball stadium. So, Will you take me to your hometown so that I can watch the baseball game and catch the ball with you? I'll promise I'll help you to get those balls since maybe you wanna be the record holder of baseball in the world until you're satisfied because right here, in Indonesia, there isn't any baseball stadium.
I think that's all included. Please reply the email as soon as possible because I can't wait for any longer such a week or two weeks. Thanks.

Hi Zack I'm Cam from Toronto. I recently have stumbled upon your YouTube videos and you got me addicted. Before watching your videos I had been to 1 jays game this year but after watching you ball hawk i have been to 7 more in the past 3 weeks. I went to batting practice for these games and had a ton of fun snagging my first ball, A Paul Goldschmidt Batting Practice home run. To go along with this I have gotten a ton of toss ups which makes my day. My goal is to leave with 2 baseballs every game i go to and so far I am doing well. This email is just to thank you for what you do and I really appreciate the effort you put into your videos and blog. The Blue Jays are in their 40th season right now and the atmosphere at the stadium is great. I noticed from your YouTube that it looks like you haven't been to the Rogers Centre here in Toronto since you got that Ricky Romero hotel ball. This year would be a great year to come considering its the 40th year for the Blue Jays. It would be awesome to see you come up north to see the jays and catch some balls! Let me know if you do. You have furthered my interest in Baseball and ball hawking and I would like to thank you for that. If you get this it would be awesome to hear back from you!
Thank You,
Cam

Hey Zack,
I found out about you back when you caught A-Rod's 3000 Hit. I'm not going to lie when you caught A-Rod's 3,000 Hit and I heard you weren't going to give it back I was pissed off because yes I'm a Yankees Fan. I wish I could say sorry for all the trouble you went through on behalf of all Yankees fans. But I later on forgave you even though I should of been asking for your forgiveness because of a mean tweet I sent to you. After I heard about you giving it back for a donation to be made for Pitch in 4 Baseball I couldn't believe how unselfish you were. But let me get to the chase about I think a month ago I found your Twitter seeing what you were up too besides baseball. So I ended up going to your YouTube and your blog on every game. So I ended up watching your videos on ballhawking and then got hooked on your videos so much that I've watched every single one of your videos. I couldn't wait for you to post another, so I followed you on Twitter and have waited for you too post some more videos. I would like to personally thank you for what you do because I love the tips, contraptions you use, the preparation you do with the stat cast of HR on ESPN, bringing both teams gear to the game bringing the active roster with you to games. I even made this account on Twitter because of you so I can't share all the cool baseball memorbilia in my collection. So basically I'm so thankful for the videos you do. Hopefully I can meet you in the future and maybe even buy your books and have you sign them. I hope I can grow my collection like you have.
Sincerely,
Billy

Zack,
My name is Zach and yesterday I went to the Pirates vs. Giants game. I was in section 139 and after watching your videos and picking up tricks I realized I was in a great place for a baseball and as luck had it, I received my first baseball from Denard Span in the bottom of the seventh inning. My question is when are you coming back to PNC Park. It would be awesome if you could sign the ticket from the game for me.
Thanks,
Zach

Dear Zack,
I recently attended a baseball game at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park (DBAP for short.) That is the home of the Durham Bulls, the Triple-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays in the International League. I began watching your videos a couple of months ago, and was amazed that a fan of the game could leave the ballpark with so many baseballs. I have always loved catching baseballs at games, and I have really good sets at the DBAP so I get a lot of toss ups from the players (I'm sure that being twelve years encourages the players to toss me balls, but nonetheless I always enjoy getting them.) Since I began watching your videos I have been trying to use some of your tactics at games. The DBAP only opens 60 minutes prior to the game, which means that there isn't any batting practice available to fans. Despite this there are sometimes "Easter Eggs" in the right field seats. At the game that I recently attended I got my first "Easter Egg" ball, which was sitting in the closed seat, nice and ready to be picked up by the next passer-by. Without your useful tips I never would have thought to attend the game this early, also never would have thought to go "Easter Egg hunting", therefore not getting that baseball. That was my first ball of the day. After a toss up from a coach, I looked behind where I was sitting, by the bullpen. To my incredible delight, there was a baseball sitting on the metal roof of an equipment shed in a little opening in the stadium between the right field line concourse, and the beer garden/jungle gym behind the right field foul pole. I almost fell on my race as I ran up the stairs to try to retrieve the ball because I was reaching into my backpack to grab an extra baseball glove. It had a string attached to it, as well as a sharpie with a rubber band attached to the clip in one of the gloves holes. I think that you know where I'm going with this. The glove trick is insanely cool and incredibly useful despite my skeptical family's doubts. I felt like I was on top of the world when I lifted the glove up and the ball had disappeared. It had not only gotten me my first ball that had not been tossed to me or I had caught/picked up, but also my third ball I the day and the game had not even started yet. I had also attempted to record it, but in attempting to reel in the glove with one hand, the ball fell back down to the metal roof (I just need some practice.) After three toss ups and an umpire ball, I ended my night with 7 baseballs and a baseball bat that had been broken by a players unlucky hit of the end of the bat. Now, before you say that minor league balls don't count, one of the toss ups was a beautiful, white, new Robert D. Manfred Jr. Major League Baseball (yet another first because the umpire ball was my first one as well.) that was quite a pleasant surprise. I am writing you this to say thank you for the tips that you have indirectly given to me. They helped me get lots of baseballs at this game and make the experience much more fun. I wound up giving three baseballs to younger kids which a gift within itself. In conclusion, I hope that this email finds you well, and I look forward to seeing more of your ball hawking videos on YouTube, and wish you luck on your quest for 10,000 baseballs. Thanks again.
Sincerely,
Ben

Hey Zack,
I'm an 18 year old MLB nerd who has been a huge fan of your YouTube channel for a long time. I really enjoy watching you track down baseballs at different MLB stadiums. I recently moved from Chicago to St. Louis (I'm a HUGE Cubs fan) and I was hoping to see you at Busch sometime. Similar to you, I'm always at MLB parks, but instead of tracking down baseballs, I'm trying to get all the autographs I can. I've been collecting my whole life and my collection is pretty huge now. I was hoping to have the chance to get you to sign an 8x10 photo and a baseball for me at some point. Is there an address I could send an 8x10 to and get you to sign it?
Thanks,
Erik

Dear Zack Hample,
I just watched your video on how you went to Miller Park to snag some baseballs. Now for me as a Brewer fan, I mainly go to Miller Park for MLB games. In July of 2013, I had my 10th birthday there, so I love the Brewers. Before I went to that game I have seen most if not all of your youtube videos. I've also read one of your books which is a great book. I literally was practicing the glove trick over my stairwell at home waiting for the chance to use it at the Brewer game on August 15th. I got to the game late so I never got one ball. I felt disappointed in myself and have not returned to Miller Park since. Just today, I watched your video and saw you went to the same exact game as I did. I felt stupid after knowing you went to the same game and I never had a clue. I really would like to meet you at Miller Park sometime and maybe get an autograph. If you would like to notify me what day you're going to Miller Park that would be awesome. But thanks a lot for the great tips and I hope you get to see that game at Fort Bragg. When you get this message reply back as soon as possible. Thanks in advance.
One of your biggest fans,
Luke A.

Dear Zack,
First off I'd like to say that what you do is pretty cool and pretty impressive. I respect your patience because it clearly takes a lot of time to collect as many baseballs as you have.
Anyways, my name is David. I have quickly gotten into your videos on YouTube and like I said think what you do is extremely remarkable. I am looking to buy one of your books but was wondering if there's any specific order I should go buy to read them. Also ... Any chance your coming to Cleveland or Cincinatti any time soon? Let me know.
Thanks
From,
David

Dear Zack,
I am a huge fan of you. I read a lot of your blogs as well as watch a lot of your youtube videos. I am from Kentucky and I am an avid baseball fan. I have been to 8 major league stadiums, and have got my hands on three balls. I think it’s pretty neat to see what you do and how you have become sort of a celebrity in the stands. Anyways, I just wanted to ask to you how many games you went to before you really started getting a lot of balls? Also when did you catch your first BP homerun ball?
-Matthew

Hey Zack,
I'm a 16 year old fan of yours living in northern New Jersey. I've seen your videos on YouTube and I'm a regular reader of your blog. I'm also a big Yankees fan and wanted to know when the next time you'll be at Yankee Stadium, knowing that you attend a relatively large amount of Yankee games. I'm actually going with a couple of buddies this Wednesday against Colorado. It would be a pleasure to meet you.
Thanks,
Shmuel

Hey zack I have read all of your books. I am from kc, and got into ballhawking because of you. I created my own suction cup and managed to get 11 balls in a game at kauffman. It was a ton of fun so thank you so much for the advice.

Zack. Thank you so much for making these videos. Two days ago I went to Tropicana filed. My dad and I are going around to baseball games and I told him I would catch at least two baseball from each stadium. There at the Rays stadium, I talked to five DIEFFEEENT players. Three of them gave me a ball. One was Robinson cano. He talked the whole game to me. After each inning he waved to me. Before this I never knew ballhawking was a thing but you inspired me to go up to him. During the game I got two more tossups, three foul balls, and one autographed ball from Evian longoria. I never got a ball before this game. Thank you so much for the inspiration I never could of done this without you. Tell me what stadiums u will be at and what day because I am going around. The country all summer at stadiums. Maybe if I see you I will catch more then you lol.

Zack, I would like to thank you for helping me have the experience of a lifetime. I went to a Giants game yesterday and they were playing the Brewers. I only got one ball but I asked three players to play catch. They all said yes! Two of them were coaches and one was Carlos Torres. Thank you for giving me the courage to do that.

Hi my name is Christian and I am a huge fan of Zack Hample. You have truly inspired me throughout my whole life. Ever since I first heard saw your videos on YouTube I was instantly a big fan. All my life I have loved baseball and trying to get baseballs during the games that I attend and after I heard about you, you inspired me to try my hardest do to that and anything else I do in life. I want to start a collection of autographed photos from people throughout my life that have had some meaning in my life or have inspired me in some way. I would be honored if you could please send me an autographed photo or even if I am really lucky an autographed baseball would be amazing to start my collection. I'm sure you are very busy and I thank you for taking the time to read my message. I truly hope to hear back from you. It would make my day to see a package in the mail from you. Thank you so much and I hope to hear back from you!

Hey, Zack! My name is Jake, we met last year at the Yankees vs. Angels game in the Bronx on June 5, 2015. I was there with one of my close friends. When I first saw you, I wasn't completely sure if it was you or not. Prior to meeting you, I had seen maybe 3 or 4 of your YouTube videos, although I never remembered your name. When we talked, you told me that you had caught the last Mets home run at Shea Stadium, Mike Trout's first MLB home run, and one of Barry Bonds's home runs in his chase to break the record. Exactly two weeks after we met, you caught A-Rod's 3000th hit! I'm currently a junior in high school, (a sophomore at the time), and I shared your story with a bunch of my friends. Some of them thought it was awesome, and others didn't even believe me. Anyways, I love the game of baseball a lot, it's always been my passion. On top of being a varsity high school baseball player for the entirety of my high school career, I've also been to 20 out of 30 existing MLB Stadiums. I live in New Jersey, and I've been a diehard Yankee fan my whole life. Anyways, I've been watching all of your videos lately, and I was just wondering: who's your favorite team? Or are you just an MLB fan in general? Also, if you don't mind me asking, how are you able to make so many nationwide trips and visit so many parks multiple times a year? Other than that, there's not really any other reason for why I emailed you. I just thought that it would be cool to get in contact once again. That's pretty much it, I guess. I should really get back to studying for my French final. Hopefully I'll be able to see you again this year at Yankee Stadium. I'm not a ball hawk myself, but I throughly enjoy watching your videos. Anyways, take care, and good luck with your ball hawking.

Hey Zack,
When is your next anticipated visit to Miller Park?
Clearly, you love ballparks. Although it's not a ball snag experience, have you ever been to Lambeau Field for a game? If you haven't, I'd love the opportunity to take you to a Packer game, and would then love the chance to go to a ballpark with you and take in the full "ball hawk" experience.
Thanks for reading.

June 2, 2016
Hey Zack,
I just wanted to say I really enjoy your videos on YouTube. They are very informative and entertaining to watch. I myself am somewhat of a ballhawk, I used to go to close 20-40 games as a kid with my dad every summer. We would go to bp and stay for the game and I would try and get some toss-ups which was awesome. I have a small collection of about 200-300 baseballs, which is no where your collection but watching your videos I can definitely relate to the advice you give on how to catch them and I think you do a great job. I was actually at an Orioles game at Camden Yards one time and you were there. I think I caught a couple that day but definitely remember you catching a few as well. Hope to run into you again in Baltimore sometime and hope all is well!
Sincerely,
Stephen

Hey Zack,
I just wanna start by introducing myself my name is Ali I'm from Toronto and been a big baseball and Blue Jays fan forever I started watching your YouTube channel I've gotten into ball hawking I've read your book and using all your tips to grab as many balls as possible I see what it's all about. It's an addiction but lots of fun I wanted to invite you out to Toronto and give you the heads up that this year the Toronto Blue Jays are using 40th anniversary baseballs and I figured you may want to make a trip out to try to snag a couple balls if you do decide to come out let me know attached is a pic of the 40th anniversary ball.

Hi Zack,
My name is John and I am a huge fan of you and what you do. I had a couple of questions for you.
Here they are,
1. What/Who got you addicted to Catching Baseballs?
2. I know you are from New York City. Which team do you support, Mets or Yankees.
3. I would like to go to a baseball game with you. (Preferably Citi Field because I like the Mets) how would I do that?
I hope you will read and answer my Questions.
Best, John

Hey zack!
I'm a huge fan and I love the way you handled the A-Rod thing. How did you make your "claw" that you use to pick up baseballs on the warning track? Could you send me a list of supplies and directions? Thanks! And could you send me a schedule of where you will be soon as I'd like to come meet you and learn your strategies.
Sincerely,

My name is Nolan and I love watching your videos. I live in a little town in upstate New York called Ontario, it is about 30 minutes away from Rochester which has a triple A baseball team. I'm going to see a Yankees game against the Boston Red Sox on August 10 and I was wondering if you'll be able to meet up at the game. It'd be a pleasure to meet you and give me ball hawking strategies. I'd love to hear back from you.
Sincerely

May 25, 2016
I am 15 years old and I am from Indianapolis. I have caught about 20 baseballs at major league games and you have inspired me! I most recently traveled to Nationals Park and snagged five baseballs, Citizens Bank Park and snagged two baseballs on a rainout, Safeco field and snagged two, and Camden Yards and only snagged one. This year I am going to Toronto, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh. You have inspired me to go travel out to MLB games and drag my dad out to the park two hours early and buy caps for all the teams! He thinks you are amazing and unreal. I have read all your blogs from 2013 and have watched your youtube videos and you have helped me snag baseballs.
-Ian
May 25, 2016
Hey I just wanted to say hi. I watch your vids a lot. I live in Minnesota and I was wondering when your gonna ballhawk there. The left field bleachers are great. I've once gotten three balls there. There's running room and it opens at 4:30. For 7::10 games and many players creep around there for toss ups. And since MN is very big on hockey and the twins are the worst team in baseball. Theres literally no one there for the first 1/2 hour. And with righties like sano who can hit well. And Maurer that can hit it the other way. There's many chances for balls. Please write back and give me info on where your going. I've also been to nationals park twice. US cellular field once and wrigley once. You are one of my favorite people in baseball. And your tips are fascinating. I've been to exactly 24 major league games. Some cool things that happened was when Salvador Perez said hi to me, I was at Ricky nolascos 100th win, and my favorite game was the one at wrigley were the Cubs beat the Giants 5-4. Once again thank you and hope you can write back or maybe in a YouTube video talk about it.
Thanks again,
From, Tommy

May 21, 2016
Dear Mr. Hample,
My name is Jack. I'm 12 years old, in the seventh grade, and live in a town called Dracut in Massachusetts. I know your visit in 2012 to Fenway Park was both an awesome and dissapointin day. You were able to snag your 6,000th carrer ball. But there was no BP due to the tarp on the field. I'm very interested in your hobby or your profession. It would be an honor to actualy talk to you and get an idea of how I could do what you do. I'm a huge Red Sox fan and Los Angeles Angels fan. Since I live in Mass. I can't go to LA to watch the Angels compete. I was just wondering if you would like to talk to me and possibly if your not busy, fly down to Boston. I know I'm a pesky 12 and half year old asking for a lot. But on the bright side I would like to mention that we have a Single A team 7 minutes away from house. The team would be the Lowell Spinners. They are an average team and a team that hits a lot of foul balls. There is no seating in the outfield due to the Merrimack River, but there is seating surrounding the field. If you were to gt in touch with me I could speak to you about all the good things of coming down here. I also want your help snagging some balls when the Spinners play. Once again, just hearing back from you would be amazing, once again I hope you get back to me, and have a good rest of the day.
Sincerely, Jack
P.S. You should also attend a Red Sox game again, they're awesome.
May 21, 2016
Zack Hample, thank you because I got my first Ball At A Royals/White Sox Game (A Foul Ball) because I watched the videos to learn how a get a ball. Thanks Again!

May 20, 2016
Hey Zack, I just wanted to let you know that you are the first person that introduced me to ball hawking. Now I go to many different games at the Bay Area. I go to college, minor league, and Major League Baseball games. Also, I wanted to tell you that when I was at an Athletics game, I caught three foul balls sitting right next to where you sat when you were there. One of them was on the fly. Thanks for letting me know where to sit to catch a foul ball. Thank you so much for introducing me to ballhawking, it truly changed my life to the better. Lastly can you please post more videos on you're YouTube channel. It makes my day when I go into YouTube and notice you made a new video. Thank you.
-Uri
May 19, 2016
Hey Zack, thanks again for the advice, I got my first batting practice ball and first game ball from an ump at the end of the game. I even bought a nationals hat to try for a toss up and had a Met fan talking trash to me, even though I secretly had my david wright shirt under my red hoodie. You totally made my day!
-Jeremy

Hello Zack Hample, my names Travis and I'm from Brenham Texas and I'm 15 years old. hopefully this isn't to long of an email. I have watched all your YouTube videos and I'm a really big fan of yours. I live about an hour away from Houston and go to games often. I heard you give tours (as in taking people to games). I would really like to go to a game with you so I too can catch as many balls as you do. I don't know when the next time your coming to Texas is but when you do I would appreciate it so much if we went to a game. We could sit anywhere you want. Normally I catch about 2 balls a game.. Sadly. But I always show up 2 and a half hours early. I don't care if it takes you 7483 years to come to Houston to watch the Astros but when you do I'll be waiting. Just email me back if you ever read this and want to go to a game. Thank you so much
May 13, 2016
Hey Zack,
I've been following you for a couple years on Twitter. I live outside of Toronto and saw you snag a couple balls during BP at the dome and have been fascinated with your career ever since.
The "Sportsnet" channel up here did a little mini feature on you. Well it was actually highlights from the game, but they only showed you (The network is owned by the Jays they know we don't wanna see the yanks anyways).
I figured you would want to have a copy of it. It's just recorded on my iPhone from the TV but the quality isn't terrible.
I warn you the Sportsnet Anchor isn't very kind towards you, but I'm sure you take shit from ignorant people all the time. People who have no idea what you're about or what joy you've brought to so many through your charitable work.
Hope you enjoy the video, look forward to seeing you in the news snagging more balls soon!
-Kyle

Just got to say I've been a huge fan for a long time. I live in KC and was watching the royals game in New York and saw you catch Didi Gregorius' homerun ball. The commentators then started to talk about you and I had to show my family because I had been telling them that I wanted to be like you. Hope to catch you next time in KC. Thanks, Stephen

Hey Zack,
Did I read correctly that you'll be in Cincinnati next week for the Reds-Indians series? Sorry to email but I don't use Twitter. I'd love to chat with you while your in town, or show you around if you need a host. I'm a fellow ballhawk and will most likely be at both games. Let me know your plans, I'd love to at least say hello and get my book signed. Feel free to hit me up via text. Hope you're doing well!
Best,
Corey

Hi
About 7 years ago you came to our Christmas party and gave me your email address. Ever since I've met you, I've wanted to follow your steps and catch foul balls and home runs and I've read your books (by the way, they're really good) and I've caught like 5 foul balls and I'm turning 15 in a couple months. So do you think you can contact me either at this email address or at my cell and perhaps give me some tips please.
Thanks so much
Sam

Hello Zack Hample,
I recently started to read your blogs and watched the VICE documentary on you. I admire and respect what you do for Pitch in For Baseball. I will defiantly make a donation at some point. My question is... When are you going to be at Citizens Bank Park this season? It would be an honor to see you/ meet you.
If you actually respond to this Thank You.
Sincerely,
Steven

Just wanted to say i think its great what you did giving the A-Rod money to charity, But you know what even if you would have kept all the money there's NOTHING wrong with that at all, You paid the ticket price just like everyone else and for many people catching a ball like that could change their life financially, They talk shit but I bet most of the ones talking if they would have caught it would have been collecting the $$$, ( which is perfectly fine, A-Rod has the money, if he wanted it back so bad he could afford it, Anyways long of the short of it, Ignore all the loud mouths, Keep doing you!

Your channel is my favorite one on YouTube! I've watched all of your videos and watch them multiple times! Awesome content. I wish I was as good as you at this. I've only gotten 3 my whole life and that's out of like 25 games lol. You should go shag some BP on May 16th in Dodgers Stadium for Angels vs Dodgers. I'll be there and it'd be awesome to have you and DodgersFilms both there.

Hi Zack,
My name is Dalton and I'm 17 years old. I've loved baseball ever since I was born. I came across your YouTube page and I love it. I loved it so much that I started ballhawking like you. I've read your books and study them religiously. I've applied them to Ranger Ballpark in Arlington and they've got me 10 balls so far. I just wanted to thank you for writing those books and making videos. It's helped a lot.
I have a weird question though and I know you probably don't get this a lot but, is there any way I can send you a baseball and you sign it for me? I would appreciate it greatly.
Thank you so much for your time!
-Dalton

Hey Zack! It was awesome meeting you at the Tigers game! I was going to ask you if you were the person who caught A-Rod's 3000th but I thought of it right after I met you! I just looked it up a little while ago and it turns out it was you! That's awesome! I have no clue how you do that but that's awesome! Do you have any advice on how you do that for youngsters like myself? Thanks! I hope you enjoyed Comerica Park!

Hi Zack,
I'm a fan from Boston. I don't get to go o many games, but I'm a big baseball fan. Somehow--through the rabbit hole of the Internet--I found out about you, and you're cool. You're personality is nice and super approachable. I wish you would make more YouTube videos--they're awesome and make it feel like we're with you. I wanted to throw two questions at you: most importantly, what kind of glove do you use/prefer? I saw you with a Rawlings glove recently, and on YouTube you said it was custom. Could you tell me what color/style? The leather color is the NICEST I've ever seen!!! The leather just looks incredible!!! I also saw you with a Wilson glove on Twitter--can you share what more about that glove?
Your hunt for balls is special! Do you enjoy the hawking more than the sport? The same?
Finally, could you give a little advice about how you go writing about baseball?
Thanks for your time! Your videos are AWESOME!!! And your personality is super cool! I love watching--thanks!

Hey Zack,
I'm a big fan of yours and have occasionally left comments on some of your blog posts. Just sharing this ball I snagged on Friday night at Fenway! An infield warm up ball tossed by Tim Leiper. I was kinda surprised they were using them on the road!
Reading your blog/books have really helped me snag balls at MLB games now so thank you. Hopefully you snag one of the Jays commemoratives soon.
Best of luck,
Sam

Hi Zack!
I hope you have gotten off to a good start this season. I was wondering what your career was before this that allows you to go to this many games. This is my dream later on in life to go to every stadium and as many games as possible. I always appreciate anyone's love for the game. Good luck this season and thank you for taking time out of your day to read this.
Sincerely,
Jackson

Zack Hample,
First of all, I just want to thank you for taking the time to read this.
I'm an 18 year old boy from a small town in Utah called Syracuse. Ever since I was a little boy, my brother and I would (unknowingly) ballhawk at minor league games. I loved it. In fact I still love it and to this day, I will usually get a ball or two at every game I get to go to,. I still have a small collection of all the balls I've caught or that have been given to me.
Because I have lived in Utah my whole life and haven't had the chance to travel much, I've never been to a Major League Baseball game. I'm so intrigued and interested by what you do and how you do it. So I'll get to my point.
I want to do this. I want to ballhawk with you for just a game, maybe two. I think with you, your energy, and your determination, it would be such a blast and such an amazing experience for me. I was thinking/hoping you could tell me a game that you will be going to and I could fly out (no matter where it is) and somehow get a ticket and we could meet up and I could shadow you and have the time of my life. I truly just want this to happen. If you have any thoughts or suggestions please let me know. This would be such a cool experience and I would love to do this with you. Thank you so much Zack! I appreciate your time, thoughts, and actions on this idea.
Sincerely, a hopeful fan
Alex

Hi Zack. My name's David and I've been a big fan of yours for about a year now and I love watching your videos. I'm going to Camden Yards in May to watch the Orioles and Tigers.
I plan on ballhawking in left field because most players on both teams are right handed. I have two questions. One, are different parts of the field or gates open at different times? The only information I found on the Orioles website is the gates open two hours prior to game time. My other question is, are the ushers at Baltimore similar to those at Citizens Bank Park, where they hunt balls before the park opens, leaving none for fans. If you know the answers, great; if not, than no biggy. It was nice being able to contact you, Zack.
Thanks,
David
